The Tutoring Tier Breakdown

Booking and Scheduling

All sessions are scheduled directly through communication with your tutor via WhatsApp. Prior to your first lesson, you will receive a message outlining the tutor’s current availability, allowing you to select a suitable time for your weekly sessions.

 To maintain a consistent and structured learning routine, we ask that students select a time slot that can be repeated each week wherever possible. Consistency plays a key role in supporting the student’s progress, helping to establish a stable learning environment that maximises academic development.

 We understand that schedules can occasionally change. If you need to reschedule a session, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice, in accordance with our Cancellation Policy. This allows us to manage tutor availability effectively while ensuring the highest level of service for all students.

Monthly Learning Plan

At the beginning of each month, a Monthly Learning Plan is shared with both the student and parent via email. This document outlines the key topics that will be covered throughout the month, as well as the core academic skills and learning objectives we aim to develop during the sessions.

 The plan provides clarity on the structure and direction of the tutoring programme, ensuring both students and parents have a clear understanding of the learning focus and progression.

 For convenience and future reference, a copy of the plan is also uploaded to Google Classroom Drive Folder, allowing students and parents to revisit it at any time.

 Access to Learning Resources

Prior to the first session, you will be provided with a private access link to our Google Classroom. This platform serves as a central hub where students can access all PowerPoint presentations, lesson materials, and additional resources used throughout the tutoring sessions.

 Having access to these materials allows students to review key concepts, revisit lesson content, and consolidate their understanding between sessions. The resources are designed to support ongoing revision and provide a structured reference point to maximise long-term learning and academic progress.

Monthly Feedback Report

At the end of each month, a Monthly Feedback Report is shared with both the student and parent via email. This report provides a summary of the student's progress throughout the month, highlighting key achievements, areas of improvement, and their engagement during tutoring sessions. It also reflects on the learning objectives set within the Monthly Learning Plan and outlines any recommendations or focus areas for the following month.

The report is designed to keep both students and parents informed of academic progress, celebrate successes, and ensure there is a clear understanding of the student's ongoing development and next steps.

For convenience and future reference, a copy of the Monthly Feedback Report is also uploaded to the Google Classroom Drive Folder, allowing students and parents to access previous reports and monitor progress over time.

 Weekly Check-In (Advance + Thrive Tier only)

A Weekly Check-In, designed to encourage reflection and support continuous academic development. Each week, students will receive a short form where they can review their progress throughout the school week.

 The check-in gives students the opportunity to reflect on areas they performed well in, topics they found challenging, and any concepts they would like additional support with during upcoming tutoring sessions. This process enables tutors to plan future sessions strategically, ensuring lessons are structured to support the student’s continued progress and long-term academic development. The form is sent every Friday evening, at the end of the school week, allowing students to reflect while their learning experiences are still fresh.

Weekly Homework

Homework tasks are assigned and submitted through Google Classroom. These activities are designed to reinforce the concepts covered during tutoring sessions and support the student’s ongoing learning.

 The tasks are intentionally short and manageable, ensuring they do not require a significant time commitment while still providing valuable opportunities for practice. Completing these activities allows tutors to monitor progress and assess the student’s ability to apply what has been learned in sessions.
